PILATES TEACHER TRAINING COURSES

This Reformer Clinical Pilates Teacher Training course aims to provide the knowledge required to teach prescriptive exercise through Clinical Pilates for individuals or in a group setting. This course aims to ensure each participant gains a deep understanding of how to safely and effectively use the Reformer Pilates Machine and an in-depth knowledge of the teaching principles needed to deliver Clinical Reformer Pilates to the general public.

Who is the course for?

A pre-requisite for the course is that participants need to be qualified or studying a health care profession or strength and conditioning coach/exercise physiology. In order to participate fully and understand the teaching material the course assumes a level of knowledge in anatomy and physiology that would typically be gained in the preliminary years of any health care profession courses and/or strength and conditioning qualifications.

    • 20 self directed learning hours.

    • 10 observation/supervised teaching hours after the training has commenced.

    • 1 hour exam.

Examination and certification

Each participant must also present evidence of minimum 10 hours of observation and supervised teaching with Reformer Pilates. Certification is provided by CThA (Complementary Therapists Association).
