REFORMER PILATES JUMPBOARD COURSE

Reformer Pilates Jumpboard Training Course: May 23rd

This upcoming three-hour training course provides an evidence-based overview of Jumpboard integration within a Reformer Pilates practice. The Jumpboard, or Rebounder, is a padded attachment positioned at the foot bar of the Reformer.

This course will be taught by clinic owner Anne Hanley. Anne has 15 years expereince teaching Refomer Pilates and is also a chartered physiotherapist.

Course Content and Objectives

The training covers the application of Jumpboard exercises across various positions, including supine, side-lying, prone, kneeling, and standing. Key areas of focus include:

Plyometric Principles: Training involves ballistic resistance and explosive movements designed to optimize the stretch-shortening cycle (SSC).

Neuromuscular Performance: Exercises are used to increase the speed at which muscles act and to automate neuromuscular coordination.

Rehabilitation Applications: The Jumpboard allows for graded loading of the upper and lower limbs, facilitating a controlled transition back to running or high-impact sports.

Bone Health: The course addresses principles of load training specifically for bone health.
