Here at Reform Physiotherapy and Pilates Malahide, we offer sports massage treatments for 30mins, 45mins or 60mins. Sports massage is deep tissue massage performed by a Chartered Physiotherapist.

The Physiotherapist will do a short assessment to evaluate where needs to be focused on during the massage. Your Physiotherapist will then target areas that may have increased muscle tension or poor circulation. The pressure is generally deep but can be adapted to the client as tolerated.

The benefits of sports massage are:

  • Improve circulation
  • Reduce muscle spasm
  • Densensitise painful muscles
  • Ease muscle tension and pain

hands on back

A sports massage can be particularly helpful to those with muscle spasm, or those who are doing a lot of training. To book in call 086 3582911 or email anne@reformphysiotherapy.ie. 🙂
