Sean Heagney

Chartered Physiotherapist

Sean is a Chartered Physiotherapist who graduated with a first-class Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from Northumbria University, following the completion of an Honours degree in Genetics at University College Dublin.

At Reform Physiotherapy, Sean has a particular interest in sports injuries, strength and conditioning, and the management of chronic pain conditions, including fibromyalgia. He combines his strong scientific background with a passion for evidence based, person centred care to help individuals achieve their goals and return to meaningful activity.

Sean is also a published author in the field of chronic pain and has completed additional training in manual and neuromuscular therapy, which complement his clinical practice. His holistic and research-informed approach allows him to support patients in improving movement, building resilience, and enhancing overall well-being.

When he’s not working as a physiotherapist, Sean enjoys playing hurling with his home club, Portumna, and is actively involved in coaching juvenile teams, sharing his enthusiasm for sport and teamwork with the next generation of players.
