Medical Fitness Testing

What it Consists of:

Our Medical Fitness Test provides a comprehensive assessment of your overall physical health and performance. The test includes a VO₂ max evaluation to measure cardiovascular fitness, strength assessments using our advanced VALD dynamometry system to accurately measure grip strength and lower limb power, body composition analysis to assess muscle and fat distribution, as well as range of movement and blood pressure testing. By gathering this detailed data, we can create a clear picture of your current fitness and identify areas for improvement.

Understanding these metrics allows us to tailor exercise and rehabilitation programs specifically to your needs, track progress over time, and reduce the risk of injury. The information gathered in this test will help you train smarter, move better, and achieve your goals safely and effectively.

VO2 Max

The VO₂ Max Test measures how much oxygen your body can use during intense exercise. This information is key to understanding your true fitness level. It helps you train smarter, boost endurance, and track progress with precision. The test can be performed on a treadmill or a stationary bike.

Body Composition

Our physios conduct tests to calculate body fat percentage and get a clear picture of overall body composition.  The 7-Site Skinfold Test measures body fat percentage using calipers at seven key points on the body. The data from this test can help you track fat loss, muscle gain, and overall progress.

Strength

We use the VALD Dynamometry System to accurately measure upper and lower limb strength. This advanced testing technology assesses the force and power your muscles can produce during specific movements, providing objective data on your strength and symmetry.

These results help identify imbalances, guide targeted training, and track progress over time. This ensures safe, effective, and personalized strength development for performance or rehabilitation.

Flexibility & Range of Movement

We assess range of motion and flexibility using tests such as the Sit and Reach and other joint-specific mobility measures. These tests identify limitations or imbalances in movement, helping us understand how your body performs and where improvement is needed.

Knowing your flexibility and mobility levels allows for safer training, reduced injury risk, and better overall movement efficiency.
